Habit

Succulent Shrub or Small Tree.

Habitat

Dry and arid regions, commonly found in rocky soils and dry forests across India.

Morphology

A succulent, fleshy plant with thick, ridged stems bearing spines
Leaves are obovate, small, and shed early
Produces a milky latex (exudate)
Flowers are small, unisexual, and appear at the stem tips
