स्थूल्त्वचा- Bark of gambhari is very thick.
कृष्णावृंता - Leaf has got blackish petiole.
पीतरोहिणी- Bark is yellowish in colour.
महाकुशुमा- Gambhari has very long inflorescence.
कटफला -The Fruit of Gambhari resembles fruit of katphala.
Habit
Moderate sized unarmed deciduous tree grows up to 50 ft height.

Morphology
- Stem - Cylindrical, Bark Grayish yellow, corky.
- Leaves-Broadly ovate, acuminate, margin entire, glabrous above when mature, 10-20 cm long, 7.5-15 cm wide.
- Flowers-Yellowish colour in clusters, calyx 5mm long., broadly campanulate.
- Fruits- Drupe 2-2.5 cm long., ovoid, smooth orange-yellow when ripe.
- Seeds- Brown colour 1-1.5 cm long.
