देवधूप- Guggulu ia also used in incense sticks to worship.
कौशिक-Guggulu exudes gum-resin from its cavities.
पुर - Guggulu is regarded as best among Niryasa.
महिषाक्ष -Gum- resin of guggulu has reddish black colour like that buffalos eyes.
उलूखल Gum- resin exudes from the cavities.
मरुदेश्य- Guggulu plant grows in dry regions.
पलङ्काश-Guggulu reduce obesity.
Habit
Spinany Shrub up to 4-6 ft high
Habitat
Rajasthan, Gujarat, UAE, Africa, Sindh, Balochistan के सूखे पथरीले मैदानो में होते हैं |
Morphology
- Stem - Young part glandular- pubescent, branches knotty and crooked.
- Leaves-1-3 foliate, leaflets subsessile, the terminal leaflet is large, 2 cm long, 1 cm wide.
- Flowers- Are brownish red.
- Fruits- Drupe, when ripe becomes red 6-8 mm in diameter.
- Seeds- Small, nuts, ovoid's, splitting in to two.
